Amongst 1957 and 1958, an believed 1 to four million persons around the world died in an outbreak attributable to the A(H2N2) virus. The virus was a combination of a virus of avian origin, almost certainly from geese, and a human influenza virus. The pandemic commenced in Guizhou in southern China, but spread globally.  The First outbreak was re
